Keep in mind when buying snowboard clothing, you need something that will withstand the weather. Cheaper stuff usually tends to leave you wet and cold at the end of the day.

Burton is a good brand, but not near the best. It’s something a lot of amateur riders buy because of the name and they end up spending way more money than the clothes are worth. The only good thing I see about burton is that their jackets come with all of the extra stuff instead of the essentials.

If you want a good brand, try to find a Rome jacket. They’re designed by people who used to work at Burton.

Lastly, if you spend the money you’re talking about on a jacket, it will more than likely be non-insulated and you will freeze your butt off. Make sure when looking at a jacket:

Polyurithane(sp?) covered (waterproof)
Insulated
Zippered pockets (don’t want ur stuff falling out)
Waist gaiters
Wrist gaiters

i am 13 also and i have been snowboarding since i could walk. go to a local shop and a used 1 will probally work fine. do not buy on the internet because something is always wrong and the sizes are messed up. at most shops u can trade in old boards bindings boots coats and wat ever else u have. so i would recommend trading ur old stuff in so u can spend more money on boots bindings and a board. I have the burton clash and it is a good board*

THere are a couple places that have good board and binding packages> You dont want to buy used stuff dude.. www.ccs.com have good board and bindings packages, Along with theclickworldwide.com, dogfunk.com thehousesnowboarding.com. Check all these websites out they all have sick deal for the whole "kit & kabootle" boots board bindings. I actually just helped my buddy get a burton blunt with missions and some burton moto boots for under 500 and thats a sick deal
