Either get a proper snow jacket or hire the gear... clothes are cheapish to hire in Jyndabyne Gloves, go to Jyndabyne and there is some shops down there... My pair last year cost $15 and served for the week I was down there. If you are there for a whole season, they will smell like $#!+ cause they are pretty much plastic bags in material and you cant wash em... Buy something decent. (This is of course if you are going to the Australian NSW snow hills... otherwise, just rock up at the closest town (which is Jyndabyne for us) and buy your stuff there... in the major cities away from the snow or on the snowfields, everything is gonna cost way more...) Small stores in local towns also offer some pretty good deals in summer. I got a Board, bindings, boots and all clothes (minus beanie :P) for $1000 as mine to keep (US dollar is half the Australian Dollar.)
