A group of us are thinking about going snowboarding in Switzerland in March ’08, can anyone help me find out rough costs of getting there, places to stay (cheap as poss) and hiring snowboarding equipment, etc. Anything is helpful really, thanks.
Sorry, basically we are a group of UK Scouters so we need to do it as cheap as poss, we can camp if necessary but not for the whole 10 days we plan on going. i just want rough cost of hiring equipment

well it hink that a plane ticket that is barebones would cost roughly 1000 to 2000 bucks if you flew direct to geneva. also it is like 80 to 140 franks for passes a day but i havent seen the slope with snow but i can only imagine that they are amazing because they look amazing in the summer. they are super steep tho so best be up for it before you go but the scenery is absolutely amazing and worth every scent that you spend to get there

Snowboarding in Switzerland is awesome!
If you’re travelling in a ski club, the going rate is around $1500 for airfare and lodging with half board (breakfast and dinner). Add on another 200-300 for the ski pass.
You’ll have an awesome time if you go. I really wanted to go again this year, but I’ll be heading to France instead.
