So I went today my second time, I got rly happy that I could do the front and back slide (? is that wat its called) so I was thinking maybe I can buy some cheap board. What is a good brand and something that I can buy new, please.
I keep seeing brands like Lamar, Morrow, Firefly, etc. but I think they blow. I also saw few Liquid and LTD boards, those any decent?
And for boots and bindings, I saw these cheap boots by K2:

Any decent?
Was wondering if you buy a board do you need to buy same type of bindings and boots or u can just mess around with it?
dont get a lamar, morrow, firefly watever board, they suck my bro use to had a lamar board and after two times riding it, the board snap for some reason… if im you ill get like cheap burton board like the burton clash or a burton blunt, their good boards for beginners, they cost around $200..
for boots get thirty twos they have the best boots in snowboarding because they dont make boards and bindings they can focus more on their boots so its great, that k2 boots its preety good but thirty twos are better,
for bindings get like burton freestyle or ride lx they are good bindings for the price they cost like $70-$90.
you dont have to buy the same type of bindings or boots you can mess around with it.
I’m getting ready for this season of snowboarding, and am looking for some Under Armor to keep warm under my snowboarding pants and jacket. Does anyone know of any good generic brands that won’t cost as much? I don’t want to go too cheap and not actually be warm, but just want to make sure I don’t have to spend as much on the name brand Under Armor.
Long underwear is just one component of your winter layering system. Under Armor is hype; it’s just polyester long underwear, which has been the choice of outdoor enthusiasts for decades. I’ve always avoided poly/cotton or *gasp* cotton long underwear. Patagonia’s Capilene long underwear is high quality hype that’s been popular for years while REI, Inc. manufacturers it’s own, cheaper, excellent quality MTS line of long underwear, and it’s own line of silk long underwear.
Silk long underwear is actually superior because it doesn’t create the static cling that synthetic fabrics do but still keeps you warm when damp and wicks moisture efficiently.

But seriously, until it gets below freezing, the lightest long underwear is sufficient, and then maybe move to the midweight until down to 10 or 0 degree F, and only under that does one require the heaviest long underwear, but by then you’ll be in $500 down pants or frozen solid. Your insulating jacket is way more important than your long underwear in keeping your warm.
thts pretty much it,, i just want some really good ideas for new snowboard gear. oh and can any1 find some specialblend gear for cheap besides backcounty.com, the house is a lil expensive, i mean i want to get it for a real steal
your thinking to hard…. who gives a **** …..its clothes …..do you! not someone else
I live in San Jose, California. My two other sisters and I are planning to pick up snowboarding. But I hear snowboarding gear is expensive. And we have to buy 3 sets! I don’t want to make it hard for my parents, so which is cheaper? ski or snowboard?
Depends what quality of stuff you get.
For snowboarding you need bindings, the board, and boots. You would want comfortable boots because sore feet at the end of the day sucks. Good bindings will help you in learning turns and stuff like that. Since your beginner the board wont matter that much.
I dont kow much about skiing just that snowboarding is so much funner.
Where can I by cheap snowboarding boots???
Even if they are used I dont care…
& how do I know what size I am??
Are they the same size and my shoe size?
Like if I am a size 6 would I be a 6 in the boots
I am asking that like if I were to maybe get them online where I couldnt try them on 1st
Don’t buy a boot that you have not tried on – it is as simple as that. Try on lots of boots to find ones that fit well. They may feel tight, but they shoud not hurt or pinch.
